Spicy Beef Gimbap

Ingredients
- Cooked rice π (4 cups)
- Ground beef π₯© (1 lb)
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste)πΆοΈ (2 tbsp)
- Soy sauce κ°μ₯ (1 tbsp)
- Sugar μ€ν (1 tsp)
- Garlic λ§λ (minced π§, 1 clove)
- Sesame oil μ°ΈκΈ°λ¦ (1 tbsp + for brushing)
- Spinach μκΈμΉ (1 bunch, blanched and seasoned)
- Carrots λΉκ·Ό (1 medium, julienned)
- Yellow pickled radish λ¨λ¬΄μ§ (8 slices)
- Dried seaweed sheets κΉ (8 sheets)
- Eggs κ³λ (2, beaten and fried into thin omelets)
- Salt μκΈ (to taste)
- Black pepper νμΆ (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the beef: In a bowl, mix ground beef with gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. π₯£ Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the beef: In a pan, stir-fry the marinated beef until fully cooked. Set aside to cool. π₯
- Prepare the rice: Season the cooked rice with a little sesame oil and salt. Mix well.π
- Prepare other fillings: Cut the fried egg omelets into strips. Slice the pickled radish and carrots into thin strips.π₯
- Assemble the gimbap: Place a sheet of seaweed on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread a thin layer of rice evenly over the seaweed, leaving about an inch of space at the top.π
- Add fillings: Arrange a line of cooked beef, spinach, carrots, pickled radish, and egg strips across the center of the rice. π₯¬π₯©π₯
- Roll the gimbap: Using the bamboo mat, tightly roll the gimbap from the bottom up. Press firmly to seal the roll. π₯’
- Brush with sesame oil: Brush the finished gimbap roll with sesame oil.β¨
