Ingredients

  • 🌾 Sourdough starter – 1 cup
  • 💧 Water – 1.5 cups
  • 🍞 Bread flour – 4 cups
  • 🍚 Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt – 1.5 tsp
  • 🍯 Honey – for boiling
  • ✨ Toppings – sesame seeds, poppy seeds etc.

Instructions

  • 🥣 Combine starter, water, flour, sugar, and salt. Knead well.
  • ⏳ Let dough rise for several hours or overnight.
  • 🔪 Divide dough into 6 pieces and shape into bagels.
  • 🍯 Boil bagels in honey water for 1-2 minutes per side.
  • 🔥 Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
