Siraegi Multigrain Gimbap

Ingredients

  • Cooked multigrain rice
  • Dried Siraegi (radish greens)
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Garlic, minced
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • Carrot, julienned
  • Spinach, blanched
  • Yellow pickled radish (Danmuji)
  • Korean Gim (seaweed sheets)
  • Sesame seeds: for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare Siraegi: Soak dried siraegi in warm water for 30 mins. Boil until tender. Drain and chop finely. 🥬
  • Season Siraegi: Mix chopped siraegi with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and gochujang.🌶️
  • Prepare Vegetables: Julienne carrot and blanch spinach. Slice danmuji.🥕
  • Assemble Gimbap: Place a sheet of gim on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread a thin layer of multigrain rice evenly, leaving about an inch at the top edge.🍚
  • Add Fillings: Arrange seasoned siraegi, carrot, spinach, and danmuji on top of the rice. 🥬🥕
  • Roll Gimbap: Using the bamboo mat, roll the gimbap tightly from the bottom up. Moisten the top edge of the gim with water to seal. 🍙
  • Slice and Serve: Slice the gimbap into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy! 🥢
