Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas (chole) – soaked overnight
  • 🧅 Onions – finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – pureed
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – slit
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • 🥔 Potatoes – diced (optional)
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🧂 Spices (turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala)

Instructions

  • 🥘 Pressure cook the soaked chickpeas until tender.
  • 🔥 Sauté onions until golden brown, then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.
  • 🍅 Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
  • 🧂 Add spices and cook for a few minutes, then add potatoes (if using) and boiled chickpeas.
  • 🌿 Simmer until the gravy thickens. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
