Ingredients

  • 🦆 Whole duck – about 5 lbs
  • 🍊 Orange – for stuffing
  • 🍎 Apple – for stuffing
  • 🌿 Fresh herbs – rosemary, thyme
  • 🧅 Onion – quartered
  • 🥕 Carrots – roughly chopped
  • 🍷 Red wine – 1 cup
  • 🍯 Honey – for glaze
  • 🧂 Salt & pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the duck by rinsing and patting it dry.
  • 🍎🍊 Stuff the duck cavity with orange and apple slices, herbs, onion, and carrots.
  • 🧂 Season the outside of the duck generously with salt and pepper.
  • 🥘 Place the duck in a roasting pan, add red wine to the bottom, and roast for 1.5 hours or until internal temp reaches 165°F.
  • 🍯 Brush with honey glaze during the last 15 minutes of cooking for a beautiful finish. Let rest before carving and serving. ✨
