Ingredients

  • 🥔 Potatoes – thinly sliced
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🌶️ Pepper – to taste
  • 🛢️ Cooking oil – for frying

Instructions

  • 🥔 Cut potatoes into very thin strips (shoestring).
  • 💧 Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then pat dry.
  • 🔥 Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for the first fry.
  • 🍟 Fry potatoes in batches until soft but not brown.
  • 🌡️ Increase oil to 400°F (200°C) and fry until golden and crispy.
  • 🧂 Season with salt and pepper immediately after frying.
