Ingredients

  • 🥛 Milk – 4 cups
  • 🍚 Rice – 1/2 cup, soaked
  • 🍬 Sugar – to taste
  • 🌰 Almonds – slivered, for garnish
  • 🍇 Raisins – for garnish
  • 🟢 Cardamom – 4-5 pods, crushed
  • 💧 Ghee – 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🍚 Grind the soaked rice into a coarse paste.
  • 🥛 Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add the rice paste. Sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
  • 🔥 Gradually add milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
  • 🟢 Add cardamom pods and sugar. Cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
  • 🌰 Garnish with almonds and raisins. Serve Sheer Pira warm or chilled.
