Ingredients

  • 🫓 Flatbreads – 4 pieces
  • 🍅 Canned Tomatoes – 28 oz
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🫑 Bell Pepper – 1, chopped
  • 🌶️ Red Pepper Flakes – 1/2 tsp
  • 🥚 Eggs – 4
  • 🌿 Fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro) – for garnish
  • 🧀 Feta cheese – for topping (optional)

Instructions

  • 🧅🫑 Sauté chopped onion and bell pepper in a pan until softened.
  • 🍅 Add canned tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  • 🥚 Create wells in the tomato mixture and crack an egg into each well.
  • 🍳 Cover the pan and cook until eggs are set to your liking.
  • 🫓 Serve shakshuka over flatbreads, garnished with fresh herbs and feta (optional).
