Ingredients
- 🫓 Flatbreads – 4 pieces
- 🍅 Canned Tomatoes – 28 oz
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🫑 Bell Pepper – 1, chopped
- 🌶️ Red Pepper Flakes – 1/2 tsp
- 🥚 Eggs – 4
- 🌿 Fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro) – for garnish
- 🧀 Feta cheese – for topping (optional)
Instructions
- 🧅🫑 Sauté chopped onion and bell pepper in a pan until softened.
- 🍅 Add canned tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- 🥚 Create wells in the tomato mixture and crack an egg into each well.
- 🍳 Cover the pan and cook until eggs are set to your liking.
- 🫓 Serve shakshuka over flatbreads, garnished with fresh herbs and feta (optional).
