Ingredients

  • 🥐 Croissants – 2
  • 🍅 Canned Tomatoes – 1 can, diced
  • 🧅 Onion – 1, chopped
  • 🫑 Bell Pepper – 1, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🥚 Eggs – 2
  • 🌿 Fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro) – for garnish
  • 🧀 Feta cheese – crumbled (optional)

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté onion and bell pepper in a pan until softened.
  • 🧄 Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  • 🍅 Stir in diced tomatoes and spices. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  • 🍳 Create wells in the sauce and crack eggs into each well. Cook until eggs are set to your liking.
  • 🥐 While the shakshuka simmers, gently warm the croissants.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh herbs and feta cheese (optional). Serve shakshuka with the warm croissants for dipping.
