Ingredients

  • 🌸 Sakura powder – 1 tbsp
  • 🍚 Sweet rice flour – 1 cup
  • 💧 Water – 1 cup
  • 🍬 Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • 🍥 Anko (red bean paste) – for filling
  • 🌿 Sakura leaves (pickled) – for wrapping

Instructions

  • 🥣 In a bowl, mix rice flour, sugar, and sakura powder. Add water gradually until smooth.
  • ♨️ Steam the mixture for about 20 minutes, or until it becomes translucent and sticky.
  • 🖐️ Once cooled slightly, divide the dough into small portions and flatten each into a disc.
  • 🍥 Place a small amount of anko in the center of each disc and wrap the dough around it to form a ball.
  • 🌿 Wrap each mochi ball with a pickled sakura leaf and serve.
