Ingredients

  • 🍤 Prawns – peeled and deveined
  • 🧊 Ice water – for batter
  • 🥚 Egg – 1 large
  • 🌾 Flour – all-purpose or tempura flour
  • 🫙 Oil – for deep frying

Instructions

  • 🍤 Prepare prawns and pat them dry.
  • 🥣 Make the tempura batter with ice water, egg, and flour. Don't overmix!
  • 🔥 Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or large pot.
  • 🍤 Dip each prawn into the batter and gently lower it into the hot oil.
  • 🌡️ Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
