Ingredients

  • 🥔 Potatoes – thinly sliced
  • 🧅 Onion – thinly sliced
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🌿 Fresh thyme – chopped
  • 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • 🧀 Gruyere cheese – grated
  • 🧈 Butter – for greasing
  • 🧂 Salt & pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter.
  • 🥔 Arrange a layer of potato slices in the pan, overlapping slightly.
  • 🧅 Sprinkle with onion, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper, and cheese.
  • 🥛 Pour a little cream over the layer. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  • 🥘 Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
  • ✨ Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
