Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas (Chole) – 1 cup, soaked overnight
  • 🌾 Whole wheat flour – 2 cups (for Poori)
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, pureed
  • 🌶️ Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌿 Spices (turmeric, cumin, coriander) – 1 tsp each
  • 💧 Oil – for frying Poori

Instructions

  • 🍲 Cook chickpeas until tender. Mash some for a thicker gravy.
  • 🔥 Sauté onions, then add ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree.
  • 🌶️ Add spices and cook until oil separates.
  • 🫘 Add chickpeas and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • 🌾 Prepare Poori dough, roll into small circles and deep fry until golden brown. Serve hot with Chole.
