Ingredients

  • 🐟 Pomfret – cleaned and cut
  • 🧅 Onions – finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – pureed
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – slit
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – a few
  • 🥥 Coconut milk – 1 cup
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • 🧂 Turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil, add curry leaves and green chilies, sauté for a minute.
  • 🧅 Add onions and ginger-garlic paste, sauté until golden brown.
  • 🍅 Add tomato puree and all the spice powders, cook until oil separates.
  • 🐟 Add pomfret pieces gently, coat with the masala, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 🥥 Pour coconut milk and simmer until the fish is cooked through. Add lemon juice.
  • 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
