Ingredients
- π Basmati Rice β 1 cup, soaked for 20 mins
- π§ Paneer β 200g, cut into small cubes
- π§ Onion β 1 medium, thinly sliced
- π« Green Peas β ΒΌ cup, fresh or frozen
- π§ Ghee or Oil β 2 tablespoons
- πΏ Whole Spices β 1 bay leaf, 2 cardamoms, 1 tsp cumin
- π§ Ginger-Garlic Paste β 1 teaspoon
- π§ Salt & Garam Masala β to taste
Instructions
- π§ Heat ghee in a pot and lightly fry paneer cubes until golden, then set aside.
- π§ SautΓ© whole spices and sliced onions in the remaining fat until soft and fragrant.
- π Add ginger-garlic paste, peas, and soaked rice, stirring gently to coat with oil.
- π§ Pour in two cups of water and salt, then simmer covered until rice is tender.
- β¨ Gently fold in the fried paneer and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
