Ingredients
- 🧀 Paneer – cubed
- 🧅 Onions – thinly sliced
- 🍋 Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- 🌶️ Green chilies – chopped
- 🌿 Fresh cilantro – for garnish
- 🥄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
- 🫙 Yogurt – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Basic spices (turmeric, chili powder, garam masala)
Instructions
- 🧅 Sauté sliced onions until golden brown and slightly caramelized. This gives them a tangy (khatta) flavor.
- 🥣 Marinate paneer in yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for 15 minutes.
- 🔥 Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies to the onions; sauté briefly.
- 🥘 Add the marinated paneer and cook until the paneer is heated through and the sauce thickens.
- 🌿 Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
