Ingredients

  • 🧀 Paneer – cubed
  • 🧅 Onions – thinly sliced
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – chopped
  • 🌿 Fresh cilantro – for garnish
  • 🥄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • 🫙 Yogurt – 2 tbsp
  • 🧂 Basic spices (turmeric, chili powder, garam masala)

Instructions

  • 🧅 Sauté sliced onions until golden brown and slightly caramelized. This gives them a tangy (khatta) flavor.
  • 🥣 Marinate paneer in yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for 15 minutes.
  • 🔥 Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies to the onions; sauté briefly.
  • 🥘 Add the marinated paneer and cook until the paneer is heated through and the sauce thickens.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
