Ingredients

  • 🐙 Octopus – cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 🍚 Tteok (rice cakes) – 500g
  • 🌶️ Gochujang (Korean chili paste) – 2 tbsp
  • 🧅 Onion – sliced
  • 🥬 Cabbage – chopped
  • 🌱 Scallions – chopped
  • 🐟 Fish cakes – sliced
  • 💧 Water or broth – 2 cups
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🍚 Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) – 1 tsp (optional)
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté onion and garlic in a pot.
  • 🌶️ Add gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, and sugar; stir well.
  • 💧 Pour in water or broth, bring to a simmer.
  • 🍚 Add tteok, octopus, fish cakes, and cabbage; cook until tteok is soft and sauce has thickened.
  • 🌱 Garnish with scallions and serve hot. Enjoy! ✨
