Ingredients
- 🥣 Oats – 1 cup
- 🍚 Semolina (Rava) – 1/2 cup
- 🥄 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- 🥕 Grated carrot – 1/4 cup
- 🌿 Cilantro – for garnish
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, chopped
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Water – as needed
- ⚙️ Eno (fruit salt) – 1 tsp
Instructions
- 🥣 Roast oats lightly and grind to a coarse powder. Mix with semolina and yogurt. Add water to form a batter and let it rest.
- 🥕 Add grated carrot, chopped green chilies, cilantro, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
- ⚙️ Just before steaming, add eno (fruit salt) to the batter and mix gently.
- ♨️ Grease idli molds and pour the batter into each mold.
- 💨 Steam for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
