Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef 🥩
- 1 Onion, chopped 🧅
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced 🧄
- 1 can (28 oz) Crushed tomatoes 🍅
- 1 can (15 oz) Kidney beans, rinsed and drained 🫘
- 1/2 cup Beef broth 🍲
- 2 tbsp Chili powder 🌶️
- 1 tsp Cumin 🌿
- 1/2 tsp Oregano 🌿
- Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
- 1 bag (about 1 lb) Frozen french fries 🍟
- 1 cup Cheese curds 🧀
- Gravy (homemade or store-bought) 🥫
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease. 🍳
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. 🧅🧄
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. 🍅🫘🍲🌶️🌿
- While the chili is simmering, cook the french fries according to package directions. 🍟
- Place the cooked french fries in bowls. Top with cheese curds. 🍟🧀
- Ladle the chili over the cheese curds and french fries. 🍲
- Drizzle generously with gravy. Serve immediately. 🥫
