Ingredients

  • 🍖 Lamb shanks (Nalli) – 4 pieces
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 large, sliced
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Nihari spice mix – 3 tbsp
  • 🌾 Wheat flour (atta) – 2 tbsp
  • 🌿 Fresh cilantro – for garnish
  • 🍋 Lemon wedges – for serving

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté sliced onions in hot oil until golden brown.
  • 🥘 Add ginger-garlic paste and lamb shanks, then brown the meat.
  • 🌶️ Stir in Nihari spice mix and cook for a few minutes, then add water and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the meat is very tender.
  • 🌾 Mix wheat flour with water to form a slurry, then add to the gravy to thicken it. Simmer for another 15 minutes.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges.
