Mutton Raan Mandi

Ingredients

  • 🐑 Mutton Raan (leg) – 1 large piece
  • 🍚 Basmati Rice – 4 cups
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 large, sliced
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – 3 medium, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 6 cloves, minced
  • 🌶️ Mandi Spice Mix – 3-4 tbsp
  • 🌿 Fresh Coriander – for garnish
  • 💧 Water – as needed

Instructions

  • 🐑 Marinate the mutton raan with mandi spice mix and keep aside for at least 2 hours.
  • 🍚 Soak basmati rice in water for 30 minutes.
  • 🔥 In a large pot, sear the marinated mutton raan until browned on all sides.
  • 🧅 Add sliced onions and garlic and sauté until golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
  • 🍚 Add soaked rice and enough water to cook the rice and mutton. Simmer until rice is cooked and mutton is tender.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
