Ingredients

  • 🍄 Mushrooms – 200g sliced
  • 🌿 Pesto Sauce – 3-4 tbsp basil pesto
  • 🍞 Bread – 4 slices of sourdough or sandwich bread
  • 🧀 Cheese – 2 slices of mozzarella or provolone
  • 🧄 Garlic – 1 clove minced
  • 🧈 Butter – 1 tbsp for toasting

Instructions

  • 🍄 Sauté the sliced mushrooms and garlic in a pan until golden and the moisture evaporates.
  • 🌿 Spread a generous layer of pesto sauce on one side of each bread slice.
  • 🥪 Assemble the sandwich by layering the sautéed mushrooms and a cheese slice between the bread.
  • 🔥 Heat butter in a skillet and toast the sandwich on medium heat until both sides are golden brown.
  • ✨ Slice diagonally and serve warm while the cheese is gooey and melted.
