Ingredients
- 🍄 Mushrooms – 200g sliced
- 🌿 Pesto Sauce – 3-4 tbsp basil pesto
- 🍞 Bread – 4 slices of sourdough or sandwich bread
- 🧀 Cheese – 2 slices of mozzarella or provolone
- 🧄 Garlic – 1 clove minced
- 🧈 Butter – 1 tbsp for toasting
Instructions
- 🍄 Sauté the sliced mushrooms and garlic in a pan until golden and the moisture evaporates.
- 🌿 Spread a generous layer of pesto sauce on one side of each bread slice.
- 🥪 Assemble the sandwich by layering the sautéed mushrooms and a cheese slice between the bread.
- 🔥 Heat butter in a skillet and toast the sandwich on medium heat until both sides are golden brown.
- ✨ Slice diagonally and serve warm while the cheese is gooey and melted.
