Ingredients

  • 💛 Moong Dal – 1 cup
  • 🍚 Rice – 1/2 cup
  • 🧅 Onion – chopped
  • 🍅 Tomato – chopped
  • 🌶️ Green Chili – slit
  • 🫚 Ginger – grated
  • 🌿 Coriander Leaves – chopped
  • 🥄 Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • ✨ Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  • 💛 Wash moong dal and rice together.
  • 🔥 Heat ghee in a pressure cooker; add onions and sauté.
  • 🍅 Add tomatoes, green chili, ginger and spices; cook until softened.
  • 🍚 Add moong dal, rice and water (3 cups); add salt.
  • 🥘 Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
