Ingredients
- 🌱 Lentils – 1 cup soaked
- 🧅 Onions – 1 large, chopped
- 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, diced
- 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
- 🌶️ Green Chilies – 2, chopped
- 🌿 Coriander Leaves – for garnish
- 🥄 Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
- 🥄 Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- 🥄 Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
- 🥄 Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pot and add onions. Sauté until golden brown.
- 🧄 Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
- 🍅 Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Add turmeric, cumin, coriander powder, and garam masala. Sauté well.
- 🌱 Add soaked lentils and water (about 3 cups). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until lentils are tender (about 20 minutes).
- 🌿 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or roti.
