Ingredients
- 🐟 Mackerel fillet – 1 piece
- 🍚 Cooked rice – 1 bowl
- 🌱 Wakame seaweed – small amount
- 🧅 Green onions – chopped
- 🥣 Miso paste – 2 tbsp
- 🍶 Mirin – 1 tbsp
- 🥢 Soy sauce – 1 tsp
- 🧊 Dashi stock – 1/2 cup
- 🌿 Pickled ginger – a few slices
Instructions
- 🥣 Prepare miso soup: Combine miso paste, mirin, soy sauce and dashi stock. Simmer gently.
- 🔥 Grill or pan-fry mackerel until cooked through and slightly browned.
- 🍚 Serve mackerel with a bowl of cooked rice.
- 🌿 Add miso soup, wakame seaweed, pickled ginger, and chopped green onions on the side as part of the teishoku set.
