Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
- 💛 Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🍅 Tomato – 1 medium, chopped
- 🌶️ Green Chili – 1, slit
- 🫚 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Coriander Leaves – for garnish
- 🥄 Ghee – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 🍚 Wash rice and dal together and soak for 15 minutes.
- 🔥 Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add onions and sauté until golden.
- 🍅 Add tomatoes, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste; cook until tomatoes soften.
- 🧂 Add spices (turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder) and sauté for a minute.
- 🥘 Add rice, dal, and 3 cups of water. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
