Ingredients
- 🍚 Tofu – firm or silken, cubed
- 🌶️ Doubanjiang (fermented bean paste)
- 🥩 Ground pork or beef (optional)
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🧅 Green onions – chopped
- 🌽 Cornstarch – for thickening
- 🍶 Soy sauce
- 🔥 Chili oil – to taste
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a wok or pan and stir-fry ground meat until browned. (Skip if vegetarian)
- 🧄 Add garlic and doubanjiang, stir-fry until fragrant.
- 🍚 Add tofu and gently mix to avoid breaking the tofu.
- 🍶 Add soy sauce, sugar, and stock or water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- 🌽 Thicken the sauce with cornstarch slurry. Stir until the sauce coats the tofu.
- 🧅 Garnish with green onions and drizzle with chili oil. Serve hot with rice.🍚
