Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 2 cups
- 🥩 Pork belly – 500g, cubed
- 🥚 Hard-boiled eggs – 4
- 🍄 Dried shiitake mushrooms – 6, soaked
- 🧅 Shallots – 3, minced
- 🧄 Garlic – 3 cloves, minced
- ⭐ Star anise – 2
- 🌿 Soy sauce – 1/4 cup
- 🍬 Sugar – 2 tbsp
- 💧 Water – 4 cups
Instructions
- 🔥 Sauté shallots and garlic until fragrant in a pot.
- 🥩 Add pork belly and stir-fry until browned.
- 🍄 Add shiitake mushrooms, star anise, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well.
- 🥚 Add hard-boiled eggs and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, or until pork is tender.
- 🍚 Serve Lu Fan over rice, topped with the braised pork, egg, and sauce.
