Ingredients

  • 🐔 Chicken – 1 kg, cut into pieces
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 large, finely chopped
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • 🌿 Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • 🌶️ Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥛 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  • 🌰 Cashew nuts – 1/4 cup (for Loya)
  • 🌱 Fresh mint leaves – for garnish
  • 🍚 Rice – for serving

Instructions

  • 🥣 Marinate chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and spices for at least 30 minutes.
  • 🧅 Sauté onions until golden brown, then add the marinated chicken and cook for 15 minutes.
  • 🌰 Grind cashew nuts into a paste (Loya) and add it to the chicken.
  • 🥘 Simmer on low heat (Dum) with a tight lid for about 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve hot with rice.
