Ingredients

  • 🧊 Tofu – firm or extra-firm, pressed
  • 간장 Soy sauce – for braising liquid
  • 🌶️ Gochujang – Korean chili paste
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🧅 Onion – sliced
  • 🥕 Carrot – sliced
  • 🍄 Mushrooms – sliced
  • 🌱 Green onions – for garnish
  • Sesame oil – for flavor

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sear tofu in a pan until golden brown on all sides.
  • 🧅 Sauté onion, garlic, and carrots in the same pan.
  • 🌶️ Add gochujang, soy sauce, and a little water to create the braising sauce.
  • 🥘 Place the seared tofu back in the pan with the sauce. Add mushrooms.
  • ⏳ Simmer until the sauce has thickened and the tofu has absorbed the flavors. Garnish with green onions and sesame oil.
