Ingredients
- 🔸 Kataifi pastry – shredded
- 🧀 Cheese – preferably Akkawi or mozzarella
- 🧈 Butter – melted
- 💧 Sugar – for syrup
- 🍋 Lemon juice – for syrup
- 🌰 Pistachios – crushed, for garnish
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 🧈 Mix melted butter with the shredded kataifi pastry.
- 🧀 Layer half the pastry in a baking dish, add the cheese, then top with the remaining pastry.
- ♨️ Bake until golden brown.
- 🍯 Prepare sugar syrup with sugar, water, and lemon juice; pour over hot knafeh. Garnish with pistachios and serve warm. ✨
