Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
  • 🌱 Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
  • 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomato – finely chopped
  • 🌶️ Green Chili – slit
  • 🫚 Ginger – grated
  • 💧 Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • 🌿 Coriander – for garnish
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste

Instructions

  • 🍚 Wash rice and dal and soak for 15 minutes.
  • 🔥 Heat ghee in a pressure cooker or pot. Add onions and sauté until golden.
  • 🍅 Add tomatoes, green chili, and ginger. Cook until soft.
  • 🥘 Add rice, dal, salt, and water (about 4 cups). Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or simmer until cooked.
  • 🌿 Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
