Ingredients
- 🌾 All-purpose flour (Maida) – 1.5 cups
- 🌱 Carom seeds (Ajwain) – 1 tsp
- 🧈 Ghee or Oil – 3 tbsp for shortening
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Water – as needed for kneading
- 🛢️ Oil – for deep frying
Instructions
- 🥣 Mix flour, salt, carom seeds, and ghee until the texture resembles breadcrumbs.
- 💧 Gradually add water and knead to form a stiff, firm dough.
- 🫓 Roll out small, thin circles and prick them with a fork to prevent puffing.
- 🔥 Deep fry the discs on low-medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 📦 Allow to cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
