Ingredients

  • 🌱 Carom seeds (Ajwain) – 1 tsp
  • 🧈 Ghee or Oil – 3 tbsp for shortening
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 💧 Water – as needed for kneading
  • 🛢️ Oil – for deep frying

Instructions

  • 🥣 Mix flour, salt, carom seeds, and ghee until the texture resembles breadcrumbs.
  • 💧 Gradually add water and knead to form a stiff, firm dough.
  • 🫓 Roll out small, thin circles and prick them with a fork to prevent puffing.
  • 🔥 Deep fry the discs on low-medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • 📦 Allow to cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
