Ingredients
- 🌾 Whole wheat flour – 2 cups
- 🍶 Yogurt – 2 tbsp
- 🫙 Sugar – 1 tsp
- ♨️ Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
- 💧 Warm water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🧈 Ghee or butter – for brushing
Instructions
- 🥣 In a bowl, combine flour, yogurt, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- 💧 Gradually add warm water and knead into a soft dough.
- ⏳ Cover and let the dough rest for at least 2 hours to ferment.
- 🔥 Heat a griddle or tawa. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into thick rotis.
- ♨️ Cook each roti on the hot griddle until golden brown spots appear, brushing with ghee or butter.
