Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice – 1 cup, soaked
  • 🥛 Milk – 3 cups
  • 🍬 Sugar – 1 cup
  • 💧 Water – 1/2 cup
  • 🧈 Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • 🌰 Cashews & Almonds – chopped
  • 🌼 Saffron strands – a pinch
  • 🟢 Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat ghee, fry nuts until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • 🍚 In the same ghee, sauté the rice until lightly toasted.
  • 🥛 Add milk and water, bring to a boil, then simmer until rice is cooked.
  • 🍬 Stir in sugar and saffron, cook until sugar dissolves.
  • 🌰 Add fried nuts and cardamom powder. Serve hot or cold. ✨
