Ingredients

  • 🥩 Ground meat (Keema) – 1 lb
  • 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
  • 🌱 Moong dal – 1/2 cup
  • 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomato – chopped
  • 🫚 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 2, chopped
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🥄 Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥄 Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥄 Garam masala – 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pressure cooker or pot. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • 🫚 Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and keema. Cook until the keema is browned.
  • 🍅 Add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Sauté for a few minutes.
  • 🍚 Add rice and moong dal. Add 4 cups of water. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or simmer until rice and dal are cooked.
  • 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
