Ingredients

  • 🥩 Ground meat (Keema) – 500g
  • 🍚 Basmati rice – 2 cups
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 medium, sliced
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, chopped
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 2-3, slit
  • 🌿 Mint leaves – a handful
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – a handful
  • 🥄 Biryani Masala – 2 tbsp
  • 🥄 Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥄 Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥄 Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • 💧 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  • 🥄 Ghee/Oil – 3 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté onions in ghee/oil until golden brown.
  • 🥩 Add keema and ginger-garlic paste, cook until browned.
  • 🍅 Add tomatoes, yogurt, and spices, cook until oil separates.
  • 🍚 Layer rice and keema mixture in a pot.
  • 💧 Add water, mint, and coriander, then cook on low heat until rice is done.
