Ingredients

  • 🍚 Cooked rice – 2 bowls
  • 🥩 Pork cutlets (tonkatsu) – 2
  • 🧅 Onion – 1/2 thinly sliced
  • 🥚 Eggs – 2
  • 💧 Dashi or chicken broth – 1 cup
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
  • 🥄 Mirin – 2 tbsp
  • 🌿 Green onions – for garnish

Instructions

  • 🔪 Cut the tonkatsu into bite-sized pieces.
  • 🧅 In a pan, simmer sliced onions in dashi, soy sauce, and mirin.
  • ♨️ Add the cutlets to the pan and let them simmer.
  • 🥚 Beat the eggs lightly and pour over the cutlets and onions.
  • 🍚 Cover the pan and cook until the eggs are just set. Serve over rice and garnish with green onions. ✨
