Ingredients

  • Kataifi dough – 500g
  • 🧈 Melted butter – 200g
  • 🥜 Chopped nuts (walnuts, pistachios) – 200g
  • 🍯 Sugar – 1 cup
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • 💧 Water – 1 cup
  • 🌸 Rose water – 1 tbsp (optional)

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 🔪 Separate kataifi strands and toss with melted butter.
  • 🥜 Layer half the kataifi in a baking dish, sprinkle with nuts, then top with remaining kataifi.
  • ♨️ Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 🍯 While baking, prepare syrup by boiling sugar, water, and lemon juice. Add rose water (optional).
  • 💧 Pour syrup over baked kataifi and let it soak before serving.
