Ingredients
- Kataifi dough – 500g
- 🧈 Melted butter – 200g
- 🥜 Chopped nuts (walnuts, pistachios) – 200g
- 🍯 Sugar – 1 cup
- 🍋 Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- 💧 Water – 1 cup
- 🌸 Rose water – 1 tbsp (optional)
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 🔪 Separate kataifi strands and toss with melted butter.
- 🥜 Layer half the kataifi in a baking dish, sprinkle with nuts, then top with remaining kataifi.
- ♨️ Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- 🍯 While baking, prepare syrup by boiling sugar, water, and lemon juice. Add rose water (optional).
- 💧 Pour syrup over baked kataifi and let it soak before serving.
