Ingredients

  • 🫘 Tamarind (Imli) – 1 cup soaked
  • 💧 Water – 4 cups
  • 🌱 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 2-3 slit
  • 🌰 Jaggery – to taste
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🥄 Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – 8-10
  • 🌻 Oil – 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • 💧 Soak tamarind in warm water and extract the pulp.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  • 🌶️ Add green chilies and tamarind pulp.
  • 🌰 Add jaggery, salt, and simmer until the khatta thickens.
  • 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve warm or chilled.
