Ingredients

  • 🍚 Idly rice – for soft idlis
  • ⚫ Urad dal – for fluffy vadas
  • 🧅 Onions – chopped for sambar
  • 🥕 Mixed vegetables – for sambar
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – for flavor
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – for sambar
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – for seasoning
  • 🌶️ Sambar powder – for authentic taste

Instructions

  • 🥣 Prepare idly and vada batter separately and let them ferment.
  • ♨️ Steam idlis until fluffy, and deep-fry vadas until golden brown.
  • 🔥 Sauté vegetables for sambar and then add tamarind extract.
  • 🌶️ Add sambar powder and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • 🍲 Serve idly and vada with hot sambar and garnish with coriander.
