Ingredients
- 🍚 Idly Rice – 4 cups
- 🌱 Urad Dal – 1 cup
- 💧 Water – for soaking and grinding
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🥄 Fenugreek Seeds (Methi) – 1 tsp
Instructions
- 🥣 Soak rice and urad dal separately for 4-6 hours.
- 💧 Grind urad dal until light and fluffy, then grind rice until slightly coarse.
- 🥄 Mix both batters with salt and fenugreek seeds.
- ⏳ Ferment overnight or for 8-12 hours until doubled in volume.
- ♨️ Steam or cook on a hot griddle to make idlis or dosas.
