Ingredients
- 🍗 Chicken – 1.5 lbs, cut into pieces
- 🧅 Onions – 2 large, finely sliced
- 🍅 Tomatoes – 3 medium, pureed
- 🌶️ Red Chili Powder – 2 tbsp
- 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
- 🌿 Mint Leaves – a handful, chopped
- 🍋 Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- 🥄 Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- 🍶 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- 🥄 Cooking Oil – for frying
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pot and fry the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- 🥘 In the same pot, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then add tomato puree and red chili powder. Cook until the oil separates.
- 🍗 Add the chicken pieces, yogurt, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook on medium heat until the chicken is nearly cooked.
- 🧅 Add the fried onions, mint leaves, and lemon juice. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken is tender and the gravy has thickened.
- ✨ Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
