Ingredients
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 2 cups
- 🐔 Chicken or 🥩 Mutton – 1 kg
- 🧅 Onions – 3 large, sliced
- 🌿 Mint Leaves – 1/2 cup
- 🍋 Lemon – 1, juiced
- 🌶️ Green Chilies – 4-5, slit
- 🥄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
- 🍶 Yogurt – 1 cup
- ✨ Biryani Masala – 3 tbsp
- 🌻 Cooking Oil – 1/2 cup
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🧅 Fry sliced onions until golden brown; set aside.
- 🐔 Marinate meat with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, spices, and lemon juice for at least 1 hour.
- 🍚 Parboil rice until 70% cooked; drain.
- 🥘 Layer marinated meat, fried onions, mint, cilantro, and rice in a large pot.
- 💧 Add water, cover, and cook on low heat until rice and meat are fully cooked and flavors meld (approx. 45 mins to 1 hour).
- ✨ Garnish with extra fried onions and serve hot.
