Ingredients

  • 🌾 Wheat Flour – 2 cups
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🌱 Yeast – 1 tsp
  • 🥔 Potatoes – 2 medium, boiled and mashed
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 small, finely chopped
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, finely chopped
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🛢️ Oil – for cooking

Instructions

  • 🌱 Activate yeast in warm water. Mix with flour and knead to a soft dough. Let it rest for 2 hours.
  • 🥔 Prepare the filling: Mix mashed potatoes, onions, green chilies, salt, and coriander.
  • 🥟 Divide the dough into small portions. Flatten each portion, add filling, and shape like a dumpling.
  • ♨️ Steam the siddu for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
  • 🧈 Serve hot with ghee or your favorite chutney.
