Ingredients
- 🌾 Wheat Flour – 2 cups
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🌱 Yeast – 1 tsp
- 🥔 Potatoes – 2 medium, boiled and mashed
- 🧅 Onion – 1 small, finely chopped
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, finely chopped
- 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🛢️ Oil – for cooking
Instructions
- 🌱 Activate yeast in warm water. Mix with flour and knead to a soft dough. Let it rest for 2 hours.
- 🥔 Prepare the filling: Mix mashed potatoes, onions, green chilies, salt, and coriander.
- 🥟 Divide the dough into small portions. Flatten each portion, add filling, and shape like a dumpling.
- ♨️ Steam the siddu for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
- 🧈 Serve hot with ghee or your favorite chutney.
