Ingredients
- 🍝 Lasagna noodles – whole wheat or protein-enriched
- 🥩 Ground beef or turkey – lean
- 🧀 Ricotta cheese – part-skim
- 🥚 Eggs – for binding the ricotta
- 🍅 Tomato sauce – low sugar
- 🧀 Mozzarella cheese – shredded, part-skim
- 🌿 Spinach – chopped
- 🧅 Onion – chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🌿 Italian seasoning
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 🧅 Sauté onion and garlic, then brown ground meat. Drain excess fat and stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning.
- 🧀 In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, and spinach.
- 🥘 Layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
- ♨️ Bake for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
