Ingredients

  • 🍝 Lasagna noodles – whole wheat or protein-enriched
  • 🥩 Ground beef or turkey – lean
  • 🧀 Ricotta cheese – part-skim
  • 🥚 Eggs – for binding the ricotta
  • 🍅 Tomato sauce – low sugar
  • 🧀 Mozzarella cheese – shredded, part-skim
  • 🌿 Spinach – chopped
  • 🧅 Onion – chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🌿 Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 🧅 Sauté onion and garlic, then brown ground meat. Drain excess fat and stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning.
  • 🧀 In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, and spinach.
  • 🥘 Layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
  • ♨️ Bake for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
