Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubes 🐷
- 2 tbsp fish sauce 🐟
- 2 tbsp soy sauce 🍶
- 2 tbsp sugar 🍬
- 1 tbsp minced garlic 🧄
- 1 tbsp minced shallots 🧅
- 1 tbsp honey 🍯
- 1 tsp black pepper ⚫
- 1/2 tsp five-spice powder ⭐
- 1 tbsp cooking oil 🍾
- 1/4 cup chopped lemongrass 🌿
- 1 tbsp rice wine (optional) 🍚
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the pork with fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, shallots, honey, pepper, five-spice powder, cooking oil, lemongrass, and rice wine (if using). Mix well and marinate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator. ⏰
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). 🔥
- Thread the marinated pork cubes onto skewers. 🍢
- Arrange the skewers in a single layer in a roasting pan. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly caramelized, flipping occasionally. 🔄
- Alternatively, you can grill the pork skewers over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently until cooked through. ♨️
- Serve hot with rice or noodles and your favorite Vietnamese dipping sauce. 🍚🥢
