Ingredients

  • 🫘 Dried white peas – 1 cup, soaked overnight
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🍅 Tomato – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – for serving

Instructions

  • 🥘 Boil the soaked peas with salt until soft.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • 🍅 Add tomato, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
  • 🧂 Add spices (turmeric, cumin, coriander powder) and sauté for a minute.
  • 🫘 Add boiled peas, mix well, and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon juice.
