Ingredients

  • 🐟 Fish – 500g cleaned pieces
  • 🌳 Tamarind – lemon-sized ball soaked in water
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 medium, finely chopped
  • 🌶️ Green Chilies – 3-4 slit
  • 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🧂 Spices – Turmeric, red chili powder, and fenugreek seeds
  • 🌿 Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
  • 🍀 Fresh Coriander – for garnish

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and sauté fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, and onions until soft.
  • 🍅 Stir in ginger-garlic paste and spices, then pour in the tamarind extract and extra water.
  • 🐟 Bring the gravy to a boil, then gently slide in the fish pieces and add salt.
  • 🥘 Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes without stirring much until the fish is cooked.
  • ✨ Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with steamed rice for the best taste.
