Ingredients
- 🥩 Ground meat – 500g
- 🍚 Rice – 1/2 cup
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, grated
- 🌿 Fresh mint – chopped
- 🍋 Lemon juice – to taste
- 🥔 Potato – 2 medium, cubed
- 🥕 Carrot – 1 large, sliced
- 💧 Water or broth – 6 cups
- 🥚 Egg – 1
- 🧂 Salt & Pepper – to taste
Instructions
- 🥣 Prepare the köfte mixture: Combine ground meat, rice, grated onion, mint, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
- 🔥 In a large pot, bring water or broth to a boil. Add potatoes and carrots; cook until slightly tender.
- 🥘 Gently add the meatballs to the pot. Reduce heat and simmer until the meatballs are cooked through.
- 🍋 Stir in lemon juice to taste for the 'ekşili' (sour) flavor. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- 🌿 Garnish with fresh mint before serving hot.
